         In Compulsion, two divergent lives touch in a strange yet romantic story that will give hope to lost and tortured hearts.

         Karen Dobson celebrated her forty-sixth birthday surrounded by friends and family as she blew out her candles.  As the party wound down, she couldn’t wait to get her guests out of the house.  Karen’s husband Bill busied himself with the cleanup as Karen selfishly retreated to the locked bathroom for a hot bath.  Lying there in the steamy silence she began to cry, just a tear at first then torrents.  She was silent in her misery as always.

          Grant Evers was an associate professor of Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine.  Everyone believed he was just a year away from a full professorship and a tap for the department chair a short time after that.  At twenty-nine, Grant was a phenom of sorts.  He was brilliant.  He was handsome.  He was driven.  Grant was a man used to getting what he wanted.   Grant, however, was about to experience the worst day of his life.

            Two very different souls converge at a time when both are most vulnerable.
